Serbia is the Balkans’ largest landlocked economy, connected to the sea via Adriatic and Aegean gateways and to the Danube river system, with Belgrade as the regional distribution center.
Infrastructure Advantage
Ocean containers mostly route via Koper, Rijeka, or Thessaloniki with rail and road corridors to Belgrade. The Danube offers barge capacity for bulk. Non-EU status means customs at every border, though CEFTA and EU agreements ease tariffs. A growing manufacturing base (automotive, electronics) drives inbound components.
