Logistics Overview
Vietnam is one of Southeast Asia's fastest-growing manufacturing and export hubs with major container ports in Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong, and strong air cargo through Tan Son Nhat and Noi Bai airports.
Infrastructure Advantage
Vietnam's logistics sector has grown rapidly alongside its manufacturing boom, driven by foreign direct investment in electronics, textiles, and furniture. The country's port throughput exceeded 25 million TEU in 2024, with Cai Mep-Thi Vai emerging as a world-class deep-water gateway offering direct services to the US West Coast and Europe. Northern Vietnam's Lach Huyen deep-water port surpassed 2 million TEU in 2025, reducing dependence on transshipment through Singapore and Hong Kong. Air cargo is expanding through three major international airports, with Long Thanh International Airport under construction to become the country's premier cargo hub by 2028.
